Recruitment of participants approaching completion

Recruitment of participants to the REACT trial is now approaching completion and the follow-up assessments of those already taking part has recently begun.

Laura Wainwright has presented the data collected from the initial focus groups of relatives at the Division of Clinical Psychology annual conference in Manchester in December.

REACT study was included in a conference poster

The REACT study was included in a conference poster entitled: “Self-Management Tools to increase access to evidence based interventions for improving management of bipolar disorder and related enduring mental health problems.”

This was presented at the Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) in San Francisco (Nov 18–21) by Principle Investigator Dr Fiona Lobban.

Relatives Education and Coping Toolkit Poster

A poster detailing the development and evaluation of the REACT toolkit was presented at the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) conference in July in Manchester by REACT Research Assistant and PhD student Laura Wainwright.

Inclusion criteria extended

The REACT study has extended the inclusion criteria to 24 months from 12.
